The School of Fine Arts at Indiana University has maintained a type shop for many years, used for teaching graphic design. I was surprised that no website existed to help document the facility and fine work that has been produced over the years. I initiated a project to create a website for the type shop, to be used as a resource and provide documentation.

My role was to document, photograph and organize the student work created from the type shop dating back to the 1960s, document the letterpress models, and document the wood and metal type that is available in the type shop.

The typographical information and photography took several months to compile and produce.

In addition to compiling the research and documentation, I also created the visual design and produced it with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Visit the website →
