GAGE Mobile Website

GAGE Mobile Website

I’ve been a design partner with the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville since 2009. Initially, GAGE needed help combining three fragmented websites into one cohesive GAGE online experience. Immediately following the redesign, I placed Google Analytics onto the new website to track visitors and understand the audience behavior online. We learned that users were consistently visiting the website on mobile devices, and it became apparent that an optimized mobile design was needed to accommodate these users.

Optimizing a desktop-viewing website for a mobile-viewing audience not only requires a visual redesign, but also a structural and navigational redesign. Asking, what will users need to have access to quickly, and on the go, are the type of questions that inform the decisions regarding the mobile website.

Both the mobile website and the desktop website pull the same content that is generated from the content management system, therefore giving GAGE total control over the content for both audiences.

I created the all of the visual components of the design, including the icons on the home screen. I produced the custom design using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
